Dr Rameez Sattar

Dr Rameez Sattar is a Consultant in Sport, Exercise and Musculoskeletal (MSK) Medicine with extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of joint, muscle, tendon and bone conditions. He is a Fellow of the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine (FFSEM) and has completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound at the University of East London, reflecting his specialist expertise in advanced imaging and guided procedures.

He has worked at the highest levels of professional sport, serving as First Team Doctor at Queens Park Rangers (QPR) Football Club and previously with Wolverhampton Wanderers FC (Premier League) and Walsall FC. In addition, he is a Tournament Doctor for the prestigious Yonex All England Badminton Championships. These roles have equipped him with a wealth of experience in both acute injury management and the long-term care of complex musculoskeletal problems. Dr Sattar understands the demands placed on active individuals and brings the same elite-level approach to every patient he sees.

His approach is grounded in evidence-based practice, active listening, and personalised recovery plans that prioritise individual goals — whether that means returning to elite competition or simply moving without pain. Alongside his work in elite sport, Dr Sattar provides the same standard of care to patients from all backgrounds. His clinical practice encompasses the management of arthritis, back and neck pain, tendon and overuse injuries, as well as muscle, ligament and bone injuries.

He is highly skilled in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound and uses this to guide precision treatments including corticosteroid, hyaluronic acid, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections, as well as joint preservation strategies such as shockwave therapy. His philosophy is holistic and patient-centred. He works closely with physiotherapists and rehabilitation specialists to deliver tailored management plans that address not only symptoms but also the underlying causes.
